My Timeless Message Proposal
-Just when you thought that romance had died and that magic was
reserved for children alone - a reason to believe!
Chris and I have known each other since we were six years old.
We were best friends and next-door neighbors growing up in Leesburg,
Virginia. We spent our childhood playing and laughing together
and were able to tell each other anything. Chris' mom may have
seen a vision of things to come when she gave me her childhood
tea set, stating that she didn't want to wait for her boys to
get married before she gave it to someone special.
As often happens, we went our separate ways and lost touch after
college for a few years. When I moved back to Leesburg, after
coming out of a bad relationship, we became good friends again
and decided to become roommates. We eventually started dating
and a couple of years later began discussing marriage.
At this point, I was asked to design some artwork and a web site
for Timeless Message. I was excited and inspired by this project
which gave me the idea to propose to Chris. I was ready for marriage
and tired of waiting so I decided to do something about it. I
would propose with a Timeless Message on our vacation to Disney
World.
And so, on a hot September day - on Chris' birthday - in front
of Cinderella's castle, I gave Chris a personal Timeless Message.
And as he read the message, I cried - and when he got to the part
that asked him to marry me, he said yes!! Now Chris wears his
engagement watch as we plan our future together. We have a magical
story to share with our children and a timeless memory that will
last forever!

It has taken quite some time for me to send this as I wanted
to give it a great deal of thought before telling you my story
and what an impact Timeless Message has made in my life and those
important to me.
It began just before Valentine's Day this year. I was driving
home from work, listening to my favorite radio station (97.1 WASH
FM) and heard Glen Hollis describe this amazing way to send a
special message, a "Timeless Message." With Valentine's Day fast
approaching, I had wanted something unique to give my fiancé and
this sounded absolutely perfect.
As soon as I got home I went to our computer and found your website
-- it was everything I had been searching for and more. I chose
the bottle, the message and voila! My first "Timeless Message"
to the most important man in my life was on its way - with a guaranteed
delivery on Valentine's Day.
As promised, there was the package waiting for him. The packaging
made it all the more unique and beautiful. This gift also had
a great deal of significance. You see, every year on the anniversary
of his younger brother's passing, we send a message in a bottle
to him...no matter where we are, we find a way.
Needless to say, he was deeply moved, as was I. It was so incredibly
poignant, so absolutely perfect -- truly a "Timeless Message"
we will cherish forever. As if that wasn't magical enough, my
fiancé surprised me -- he took me to the Justice of the Peace
and we were married on February 24th! (I like to think that Timeless
Message played a part!)
I know this is lengthy, but I have one more story to share...
April 2 was my father's 82nd birthday, and I could think of no
better gift than to give him his own Timeless Message. I had struggled
to come up with the right words to express the impact this incredible
man has had on so many lives so it was right down to the wire
on Friday, March 30, when I phoned you and spoke with Angela.
Once again the package arrived to our apartment as promised.
To be able to present this special gift to my father was truly
a blessing. When my father opened the package, and lifted the
beautiful blue bottle from its case he had not realized the real
treasure was awaiting inside. He took the message, and in silence
he read it. I have never seen my father so visibly moved by emotion.
With tears streaming down his cheeks, hands trembling, he gave
it to my mother to read to the family gathered for the celebration.
My mother read aloud the words I had chosen just for him.
There was complete silence as we all sat with tears of joy and
immense pride for this incredible man sitting before us. It was
a moment that will forever be ingrained in our hearts and souls.
Without Timeless Message, none of this would have been possible.
From the bottom of my heart, I am forever grateful. Thank you

(P.S. We just sent one to my husband Jim's mother for her birthday
on April 12! I have no doubt the magic will once again be felt).
I too wanted to share the experience we had giving my father
a timeless message on his 80th birthday set in Hawaii.
Rich Kline's message with some added personal touches was a bullseye.
My father was very taken by the words--he actually had to stop
reading momentarily to compose himself. One humorous note. He
thought at first it was a Cuban cigar coming out of the bottle!
The setting was perfect. Six members of my family sitting around
a beautiful dinner table set on the beach at the water's edge
at historic Hualalai on the Big Island of Hawaii surrounded by
tiki lights as the sun set on the Pacific. The waiter brought
the bottle to the table all covered in sand as if the bottle had
been sitting along the shore for a long time.
Jointly the waiter and my father removed the sand. The waiter
held the bottom of the bottle while my dad pulled the cork. The
waiter then slid the wrapped message out of the bottle into my
father's hands. My father opened the seal and read the verse.
He read it quite slowly and with great emotion. He was touched
by the words and the entire "spectacle" of receiving this special
message in a bottle. A truly memorable moment for all of us that
we captured on video to last a lifetime.
