Javan's journey to become one of America's most successful self-published authors has certainly been down "The Road Less Traveled".

He was born, Steven Javan Jones, October 19, 1946 in a small North Carolina town. He lived and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina through his high school and college years. In 1968 he moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked as an agent for Eastern Airlines until the end of 1977. In 1979 Javan self-published his first book and started traveling around the country with his golden retriever puppy, Brandon, introducing his book to bookstores.

Javan has a unique way of capturing some of life's most important emotions through the eyes we all may see but rarely are able to put into words. He relates this poetry in such a way, that it is not difficult to find one of his poems that strike a cord in all of our hearts. Javan now has four titles of his poetry available. He still travels frequently both nationally and internationally.
